Ive posted many time in the past about my theory of the events, let me try and paraphrase:
He actually did get lucky and shoot 900 series prebowling. This one was the one that was disqualified because his mother did not send in the leagure sanctioning. So since his 900 was disallowed because of a technicality, I think the league and the lanes decided to "get" him another one. This became 900 #2. But while they were waiting for this one to be approved, the USBC convention was happening. At that convention, a rule was to be voted upon that would disallow honor scores that were prebowled unopposed. It look like, at that time, it would pass. So sensing that 900 #2 was going to be turned down, they brought in the other bowler (who also shot his first 300 at this time) and Musthare rolled 900 #3, bowling "opposed". But at the convention, the rule was not approved that year, and now guess what, he now has 2 900 series that the USBC had no choice but to approve. And the rest is history.
So there you have it, what I think really happened. And as far as a 292, it happens, did he do it, who cares. Musthare is a good house hack, who can occasionally find a groove on tougher conditions. Will he be on tour, no. Will he ever be as "good" as his scores perception make him seem, no. He should just fade away never to be heard from on the National stage again.
And as far as Lefty goes, if Musthare stops too suddenly, Lefty would come flying out of his mouth, that is how far up his azz he is, so anything he says around this topic is worthless. I still think he owes money on a bet he made about Musthare. He bet that Musthare would beat Tim Mack during the little ESPN taping, and Mack wiped the floor with him.
