An employee (and a long-time bowler) for the house where I bowl offered me two techniques to try. First, you should know, both techniques require the pointer finger to be spaced as much as possible from the middle finger hole. The first technique he introduced is for dry conditions. Total concentration is required on the ring finger. When releasing the ball, the ring finger should follow through your target. The second technique he offered is for oily conditions. Total concentration is required on the pointer finger. When releasing the ball, the pointer finger should follow through your target. Both techniques produce different ball reactions; however, I'm still having a tough time with the technique for oily conditions. Has anyone ever heard of these approaches, or tried them?
