so last night was last night of league before roll off, we have already won first half and were sitting 3 points out of first for second half, with an outside shot of tying for first place the second half and forcing a roll off (albeit the stars had to line up)  so long story short, 1st and 3rd bowl, 3rd place team takes 3 of the 4 points, if we win all 4 we are in the roll off with those two teams.  now the problem

the team we are bowling is short a bowler, they state he is on the way, this is a trios league and its moving fast, we get all the way thru the 8th frame he still isnt there, the other two guys on the other team are dragging a bit, they both work for the alley, we are on lane 9-10, all of the sudden lane 2 breaks again, now mind you our 9th frame is done and we are awaiting these guys to bowl, both disappear to go look at the machine, they are gone litterally 25-35 minutes while we sit and wait.  when they finally come back we have to wait for them to bowl the 9th then we can do the tenth, two of our three at this point have basically stiffened back up from the sitting.  we proceed to lose by 2 pins (now I know if we had taken care of business its no big deal) but the delay should never have happened, they should have taken turns to finish up the first game rather then requiring us to sit there. oh and we did win the next three points to finish out of that roll off by 1 point

I know what the rule states, and we messed up by not saying anything, but what are your thoughts on thsi mess
