Title: Running brackets . . need some direction
Post by: ITZPS on March 16, 2015, 02:16:12 PM
Ok, our shop is running the brackets for the women's state tournament here for the next several weeks.  I have actually never ran brackets before, so if someone could point me to a good software and give me some pointers, I'd appreciate it!  I'm sure it's not hard . . but I'm not a fan of trial and error, however small, when you have information available.

Actually I guess the boss has the bracket software taken care of, so it might all be good . .

If not, there is a bracket program at this link, (never used it myself), so:

The BracketSS (SS) spreadsheet there wouldn't be suitable for something as large as a state tournament.

Make sure you double check everything before printing.  We hosted a TNBA thing recently and almost had to refund $4000 of bracket money because there were mistakes when they entered the brackets into the computer.

We use T-Brac through CDE Software to run brackets here. It's a pretty simple program to use. I'd recommend it.
