Help!19mph bowler high track scout rolling over the thumb hole.
ball cg and pin on top if one another. If you know of a way to drill this type of pancake ball and not have it roll over the thumb please share.

It's probably the 3 piece Scout. But I am with my man James about if anything else rolls like that. Low flare and high track can end up doing that.

Are any of his other balls pancakes?

Pins don't matter on pancake weightblock.

None of his other balls roll over the thumb. Going to replace the ball with a new scout old one drilled with the cg+ pin in his palm. So looking for a new layout.

that type of layout with an extremely high track will cause that. Which is why for high track players, I typically don't drill anything pin down. especially in something that weak. I agree with DP3 on this one especially with his personal experience because its what I've had to do for one of my clientele who's PAP is 6"+. He's in Love with Rico so I have to make adjustments to the base layout to try and keep the track somewhat off his fingers. For the most part for him though, its more along the lines of what DP3 is saying.

My axis is 6" Right and 1/4" up, but on plastics and pancake cores, I'll typically clip the thumb hole almost the entire lane. To avoid tracking over the thumb on pancake core balls (I have a Black Sanded Scout) I have the pin/cg 3" right of grip center and 2" up with an x-hole 1" past my PAP on a line from the center of grip through the VAL. It flares about 2" with about 1/16" - 1/8" separation between the oil rings and moved my track about 1/2" off of my thumb.
