donkee spinner question

so why does the donkee spinner shake???

It probably doesn't have enough weight to the base.  I built a spinner at home and it shakes like a mofo if you have the core in an unstable position because the base is made of a bunch of light metal.

Definatly the weight, my ball driller has one thats I think cast iron weighs like 50 pounds, doesn't even move with a track asymetrical core or a lane #1 ball.  I wouldn't dare put those balls on a donkee on high.

This has has always been a problem with Donkey spinners ever since they have existed and is why more people buy Vertex Spinners instead. Also, some people that are willing to pay more money buy Inovative Spinners which are also excellent spinners if a person can afford them. The Vertex spinners don't even have to be bolted down. Some Donkey users say it is because the Donkey spinners have a bit more speed. That might and might not be the reason, I don't know, but the bottom line is ........ they do shake.

If my dual speed Donkee weren't given to me as a gift I would have spent the few extra bucks for the Innovative without a doubt.

Lower speed should be alright.

Obviously somewhere in the chain of physical connections, there's an imbalance in weight or mass. Somethign might not be quite centered. Since they're inexpensive, somewhere in the quality control aspect during assembly of either the pieces or the whole unit someone didn't do their job. WHat's worse this also indicates these units were not tested after final assembly.

It could be something as simple as the hole in which the cup's post sits in was not centered properly. I don't know exactly what was wrong, since I never took mine apart before I sold it and bought the Vertex.

If I had the money at the time, I might have gone for the industrial version made by Innovative. If I'd known I'd still be spinning balls 4 years later, I might have bought the industrial version by Innovative. If my Vertex finally gives up the ghost, I may get the industrial version made by Innovative.

It is my opinion that the machine is not balancd or possibly the delivery co. some gorilla on the way mishandled it. we all know that bowling balls are not perfectly balanced right? Also the machines that the pro shops use are industrial quality and in many cases bolted down, I'd be afraid very afraid to bolt an at home/portable product down. It all comes down to BUYER BEWARE,YOU GET WHAT YOU PLAY & PAY FOR. For my money I'll trust my local Pro to adjust my cover stocks, he never charges me for this anyway. HE WHO DIES WITH THE MOST TOYS WINS

Get a Vertex. That spiiner is great.
I've had it for 2 years already. I could
work on 10 balls straight and it doesn't get hot
or overheat. Seriously.
