Hey everyone,

As always, I'm trying to get an arsenal together. I'm gone back and forth two dozen times as to which ball I want as my heavy-heavy oil ball. I have not traditionally liked solid, high-load particles, because I don't like the shape that they give me. Please spare me the lecture about "nothing will hook in a flood", because I already know that. What I'm looking for is the ball that will give me the best chance at some recovery and angle in heavy juice. I have a lot of balls that I've considered, but I have no idea what to choose. Here are my specs:

RH power stroker that can crank a bit when needed
Above average speed -(17-18 mph)
High track-no more than 2" from fingers
Can play deep or up the boards, whatever it takes

 Here are some of the balls that I'm considering:

Mo-Rich Mayhem
Ultimate Inferno
Anomaly
Warp Zone
Colossus Supreme
Fear Factor
Animal
Phenom Unleashed
Phenom
Vendetta Particle

 Unfortunately, the list goes on! Ideally the ball I select will allow me to create just a touch of angle and to not have to rifle the ball directly at the 1-3. Give me your votes and help me make a decision, please!

Gene -- I know you said you don't like particle balls, but for truly heavy oil the particles give you "bite" that a straight resin ball won't.  The Lane 1 Super Carbide Bomb is the best heavy oil ball I've drilled, but yes, it's expensive.  --  JohnP

Personally, being partial to Track, I'd go with either the Animal or a Phenom Unleashed.  I have an Unleashed sitting here that i'm just drooling over, can't wait to try it out Friday.

Hey Gene,

The UI does roll up pretty well with a smooth backend but the Animal drilled properly and taken down to the correct coverstock will hook more overall.  Hope this helps...
