Title: Serious Bowlers
Post by: Zanatos1914 on June 13, 2008, 01:11:28 AM
This is a question for those who take bowling serious...

Should we play any other sports besides bowling and risk injury....

Played Basketball yesterday and jammed 2 fingers on the bowling hand...

Bot able to do anything for about 2 weeks or until the swelling goes down....

Or you could ask the question, should you go bowling and risk getting injured and not be able to do your everyday job?

Injuries can happen in any sport. Why would you sell yourself short if you love playing basketball, softball, or football plus bowling. I play semi-pro football, get shoulder stingers, jammed fingers, and jammed wrist all the time. But I love the game just as much as I do bowling, I couldn't see quitting one sport, just to be able to be healthier to play another. Football plus 3 nights a week of bowling things happen, I just have a few people lined up so that if I do get injured my team doesn't suffer because the have an able bodied sub.

Should you stop cooking because you work with knives?

Should you stop driving because you could get in a crash?

Should you stop having sex because you could get pregnant?

Sould you stop living because these things could kill you?

Should you stop having fun so you can bowl?

If bowling is your job then don't play other sports.

It's like an NBA star getting hurt durring a pickup game in the off season.

But hey you could break your leg slipping on the stairs so I wouldn't stop everyhting.
