I would love some imput of your leagues that have succed in your area.  Right now, all we have are Have a Ball and No Tap leagues.

I also would love to know about oil patterns that have succed on wood lanes.

I would say you need to find out what the bowlers in your area want.  Each region can vary as to what works for them.  I would say try to get a PBA Experience league going in your area if you can. It can only help.

As far as wood lanes and patterns, I would say med to med-heavy conditions since wood is more high friction than synthetics. But again, it depends on whaty our bowlers want.

Try to set up some sort of meeting with people in the area that may be interested in a league.

Good luck, hope it works out.

No it is not an AMF house.  It is a private owned company, 5 houses total, and pretty well spread out through the city.  We are on the Southwest side, and alot of our customers are hispanic.

As far as leagues would go, we have a have-a-ball program for beginners where they bowl only 16 weeks and they get a white dot.  Then they bowl another 16 weeks and get a pair of shoes, and if they choose another 16 to get their bag.  Then they would have the option to keep staying and get certificates or move on to a sanctioned league.

As far as sanctioned league, we only have 5 leagues and about 4 no tap ones.  Im trying to think of other options that would spark an interest.  We have 32 lanes, I want to use them.

As far as lineage, it is the cheapest in town (it is less than $3.00 a game), and the only set of wood lanes.

One league name they use to have was called the Bootlegers league on a Friday night that I might try to bring back.  I have a couple of others but want to hear others.

Military there and the surrounding areas (Sierra Vista/Phoenix) use to be pretty big.  A shorter "Snow Bird" league could work well there in the winter.
