Seven frames, seven leaves...
« on: February 03, 2010, 08:42:36 PM »
Here's what popped up Tuesday night, in sequence: 8-pin, 9-pin, 10-pin, 8-pin, 9-pin, 10-pin, 7-pin.

If there's an adjustment for that, I'd like to hear it.

Aim for the Brooklyn side on your next strike shot.

Kind of hard to answer without knowing the layout and surface used.

best adjustment for that start is to grab a tall glass of "bowling Juice" and have a good laugh then throw the next shot in the gutter so you dont get screwed again.

But the real question is, did you cover the spares?  :-)

A half ten is not a great shot.  No, you shouldn't have carried it.

Hit 9 you get 9, as my buds dad always says when you get tapped.

The best is when you make an adjustment after something like this and end up with a big split on the next ball

The obvious move would have been getting a ball that went through the pins better. You are not always looking for a ball that hits like truck and throws them all over the place. You need something smooth and predictable that will roll through the pins and keep them low.

Jess,

I have been fighting through issues like this, consistently getting to the pocket but not carrying.   I made a move this last week forward on the approach and shot my best series since the first of the year with only two opens both splits.  I have found that I am more successful in making moves and changing entry angle with a smooth predictable ball than I was having in changing balls.
