Title: Shipping bowling balls?
Post by: n00dlejester on July 06, 2008, 09:32:06 AM
Hey guys, I'm going to be doing a bit of traveling to do a regional or two come this winter.  I was just wondering what the best service(s) for shipping your equipment is.  Thanks!

Do I have this correct:
For a PBA regional, you're shipping your balls?

Within some regions, I can  understand this, but within the Eastern region, most stops are close enough to drive to. You might have to take Friday off from work for some long distance ones, but most people do drive.

Unless I have the wrong picture ...

Additionally, UPS is still the best and safest (a major priority if you're doing this a lot) and within the East, shipping is not a lot, relatively speaking. FEDEX's advantage is they deliver on Saturdays for no extra charge at least they used to so this. But they bang around bowling ball boxes a LOT!

Yep, I drive to all my regionals.......furthest ones I go to are 7-8 hours or so, and I just drive that, like Charles said, you may need a Friday off of work, but you shouldn't need to ship them.
