There is no such thing as too much speed, really. It all comes down to doing what's comfortable while still maintaining accuracy. As for myself, I'm not a big guy, but I throw my spare ball at around 27 MPH, but it's kinda effortless for me. Plus, I can hit my spot at that speed with no problem, so why change? Other guys I bowl with, on the other hand, can't hit 20 MPH without me worrying they might launch it into the next lane over. So as long as you're not trying to launch it solely to impress chicks (although not a bad idea) and if you can hit your spot, I'd say don't worry about changing anything.
