OK, I hear people saying that it sucks it doesn't count or one guy messed it up, etc.  But, should it count?

Don't we all agree that pre-bowling is easier in that it's only your shot on the oil, you can stay loose and bowl at your own pace and you don't have the pressures of an audience.  It's not typical league bowling.

If these are all true then your 300 should not count for an honor score.

Congratulations none the less.

A 300 is a 300.  Mabey I dont deserve a ring, but mabey a plaque?  Im not demanding anything, but for someone that has never shot a 300 would love to have something for it.  It's still 12 frames that you have to strike.  I do see your point though, NateNice.

And the reason that I am prebowling is because my job is under a strike and now I am forced to work on Friday mornings which the leagues takes place.  It is something that I dont want to do, but I'll have to do it untill the union and Learjet agrees.

i think you should get a ring of your own, buy one and get 300 engraved in the back or have 300 somewhere on the ring because the first one is special prebowled or not.

thats what i will be doing when i score my first 300, because in england we dont have the ring systems which really is quite sad!

well done!!

Well, you know you did it and no one can take that away from you.  A ring is nice but in the end it's the personal pride in knowing what you did.

A 300 is a 300 and even if you did it under "easier" circumstances, it shouldn't take anything away from it for you.

And now that you know you've done it, it will be easier next time.

Sounds to me like it is your fault!  Becaused you bowled a 300 AFTER the rules changed...NOOO...wait a second...it's Bush's fault!  BEcause if Fort Drum where Robby bowls didn't have so many soldiers getting ready to go to Iraq they wouldn't have allowed prebowling so liberally due to all the schedule changes.

IF we weren't in Iraq...Robby wouldn't have bowled his 900s in prebowl and maybe not at all(in crosslane traffic).  There would be no prebowl rules different than what they were and you would have your 900!  So that settles it!

Bush's fault.  No wait...It's Gore's fault...for claiming he invented the "Internet".  If he hadn't said that...then he would have been elected...and then we wouldn't be in Iraq and they wouldn't have allowed prebowling and then you would have your 300 ring!

WAIT no...it's Al Gore's mother's fault...if she didn't have Al Gore he wouldn't have claimed he invented the internet....WAIT...

Well you get the picture...it is definitely SOMEONE else's fault I agree...but I'm not sure who's!  Keep up the great bowling!

REgards,

This wasnt my first, but I was saying for someone that has never shot one, it would suck for them.

I hate that rule, but it needs to be there.  Its sad it has come to this.  However, I believe that if you are prebowling as a team, whether you legal team is 3-4-5, then it should count.

I used to prebowl often because of my rotating shift schedule.  About 20% of the time, I was able to get fresh oil.  The rest of the time, I had to do it on the weekends either getting dry lanes or tons of carrydown after midnight glow bowling or during the week before they oiled for the league.  By my count, I bowled on worse conditions 80% of the time I prebowled.  If you found a good shot and got in rhythm, you had it better.  Find a bad shot, can't get into a good rhythm, or were rushing to get to work and you had it much worse.

Sorry for the hijack.  Congrats on the 300.  And yes, thanks to you know who.

Worse, I have had as many 300's turned down in the early 80's than I have sanctioned. Those were in leagues and tournaments under santioned events.
