rrohljr brings up a good point.

But going off of that, Brunswick and Storm do compliment each other. Brunswick tends to favor more fresher patterns and Storm is works well when the B-balls tends to labor down lane.

You would be doing yourself a dis-service if you closed yourself off to only having one brand. You get a ball that will work best for the layou you want to use and the condition you want to use it on, regardless of what brand it is.

Any company makes a good mix of covers and cores to match with anybodies game. Saying that a smaller company has less confusing options. You could try Visionary's test staff.

Not particularly brand loyal but I try, as much as possible, to be U.S.A loyal. There is some really good stuff out there from Storm, Roto, Visionary and 900 Global.

Don't limit yourself.  I used to do that, and it was stupid.  If they're not paying you, spread the love

Brunswick makes fine equipment (excluding the Wild Ride of course) and Storm makes fine equipment as well.

If you want to go with Brunswick make sure to pick up a Rattler and if you go with Storm, a Hy-Road is in order

Most importantly, have fun!

Don't limit yourself to one or two brands, carry what works for you.
In my bag I carry Storm, Ebonite, Brunswick, and Roto Grip, it works for me gives me plenty of looks down the lane.

Everyone has the choice to support whatever brand they wish.  I, for one, support only USA made companies because, as a pro shop owner / operator, I had many returns of Mexican made Brunswick balls in the early stages of their transition south of the US border.  Improperly marked CG's and slimy coverstocks were the norm until the situation was remedied.

The question you need to ask yourselves is did Brunswick lower the prices of their equipment as a result of "Julio Sanchez" pouring and buffing all their balls?  The answer is "No".....they made the move to manufacture in Mexico to just make more money, as if they weren't making enough already!

If all the other companies can survive in the USA, Big B can too!

As a Canadian, I support USA made products because they're better quality.

PERIOD!

I agree with some of the other guys. Dont limit yourself to just 1 company unless your collecting money from that company. I was that way for about 2 years. I wasnt happy.

For example I used to be all brunswick for a year. I had a 2 Total Inferno's  and 2 BVP Rampage's with different layouts and cover prep plus a brunswick spare ball. I wasnt happy with 2 of the 4, because they were condition specific. They ended up being great for PBA oiled lanes.

After having that experience I went to all Storm. Picked up a T-Road Pearl, Fire Diablo, and Attitude Shift. That line up worked great until each one had cracking issues. All of a suddon I was without anything to use for bowling cause it looked like 1 ball talked to the other 2 and all 3 cracked around the ball thumb hole to thumb hole in different directions.... interesting bowling night that became.

You say you have never used anything from Storm, why would you want to make a complete equipment change over to a brand that you've never used before?? Not a smart move. You dont know how storm reacts to your style of bowling, it could be awesome or it could be a mis-match nightmare. I suggest you get at least 2 newer storm balls, 1 pearl and 1 solid and see how they do in your hands before you go out and make that kind of investment only to find out it was a disaster mistake.

Experiment before doing is my advice if you are going to do this regaurdless of what anyone says.

Well, I'll never buy a Brunzwick.  I will admit, I did buy a Morich Awesome Flip not realizing at the time I bought it that it was made in Mexico too.  Funny, I still haven't drilled it.  Anyone want it NIB, I'll take offers.  Too many people are complaining about the economy, but then they're out there driving Toyota's, Lexus', Accuras, Nissans, etc.... We have a choice.  Support American made products or support out sourcing to foreign countries.  Yeah, it's a very small piece of the pie, but that's the only piece we can get.  Some things we have no choice on where they are made.  I own a pair of DynaRooz & they're made in China.  If I knew of a US made bowling shoe I'd buy em.
