Bad Economy = Bad Bowling

At least it looks like it at our local lanes.  I can only guess it's the bad economy that is causing the oil shortage on the lanes, which is playing havoc for everyone.  After two weeks of our men's league, 104 people out of 112 were significantly below their book average, no ties, and 8 had slightly increased.  Decreases of 30-40 pins in average were common, even for the usual 220+ average bowlers, with a few people 50+ pins below.  Then this week we get a reverse block pattern which screwed with most people again.  Oh well, at least we're having fun and it's the same for everyone.  And on the plus side, we will have an awesome team handicap next week when everyone's averages reset
