So this lady that works at this amf house knows I bowl leagues but assumes I bowl in this particular house. Well, I don't, just 3 leagues in a Brunswick house. So she asks if I'm a league bowler. I said yes. I bowled my 10 games and at the end she wanted to see my card. So I got out my sanctioned USBC card out of my wallet. She says "that's only your sanctioned card I need your AMF card. I told her I don't have one. At this point it's I'm going to pay league fees or walk out and pay nothing but she did what I told her and received league rates.

I don't give a damn about AMF's policies. There should be a discount across all bowling alleys nationwide if you have a sanctioned USBC card you should get the houses league rate. Wtf is the point of the card otherwise. Don't tell me I need a credit card plastic size card in my wallet just for the member number. If USBC had any balls which they don't, they would enforce this mandate on all houses or the houses would be disqualified from having sanctioned leagues!

I know what you mean. I played a round of Golf over the summer. When I was asked if I was a member, I showed them my membership card of the Golf Course I play at regularly. The lady at the counter informed me that she was referring to being a member at this course. I was PISSED!! At that point I am going to pay membership rate or walk out and pay nothing. Lucky for her she listened to reason and charged me the membership rate.

I don't care about that golf course policies. If your a member of a local course, you should get membership rates at all courses nation wide. My membership card is very nice. Its plastic and looks like a credit card. It clearly should have special discounts when ever I display it. Heck...I should get a free tank of gas each week for having this card. It cost me a whole $20 to have it.

Not to mention the weight of the card itself plays a role in your fuel mileage, which you should be compensated for....
