Well, I'm done frustraiting all of you as I seek for help and guidence... And don't think many will bother to care.. BUT.. As I am new to bowling.. FLINGER/HACKER what ever us rookies or leaguers are known as..
we all have to start somewhere..
I for one being at one time soley into competitive archery.. would stretch out to anyone that would ask for assitance vie ? or tuneing help, and I know some of you've had helped and or tried to.. I just think when you put a post in and get over 80 some lookers and out of that only 1 has the care or takes the time to help.. Think thats wrong.. I know there are alot of you have great knollege in this sport, and would think you would be willing to help anyone atleast trying to get some or help stear them in the write way.. BUT. in some sense I don't think MOST care to..  It is yous us FLINGERS/LANE HACKERS look to for help, personaly. I couldn't think of a better place... I hear yous complain about the sport you all love so much.. MAYBE.. this is where you should start??
If your not willing to help.. how we THE ROOKIES to get to the next levels if the wise old ones will not bother to give the time or day ????  WELL.. SO LONG

HAVE A SAFE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL

HAPPY HOLLIDAYS..

yeah a lot of people just look in, I do it all the time.  The reason I don't always post is why should I post something that has already been said.

Ok, so I went through the 5 most recent pages and saw only one post started by RedNeckRoller.  That post was him praising this site and the wonderful people on here.  Now he bashes the people on here for not asnwering his question.  Perhaps I missed it, but I didn't see him ask a question!!!

Somebody, please enlighten me.

I don't recall bashing anyone Michigan Bowling.. And yes I do ask some questions..some where answered..with some good advice.. got some good tips on reading other post aswell.. Frustrated is what I said.. I've been trying to get some help drilling my SlayR.. I guess you didn't look far enough threw the post.. I don't ask much because of being new.. And I think that is why SOME.. here don't like to help..  My opinion. is all.. I've never bashed anyone here.. BUT.. is funny thow the troll gets more reply's for his stupidity then some one actually looking for some advice..

Besides, it gets a little irritating having to see the "What ball should I get next?" posts that constantly litter the site.  Seems like the only question that is relevant to a newbie is "What ball will hook off the lane when I throw it with 5 revs?"

Ask a real question, get a real answer.  What's a real question, you might ask?

How about this:
quote:

I'm facing a 43' sport pattern with 2:1 ratio of oil and no outside bounce area.  What kind of drilling/surface/wrist combinations should I be considering to combat this type of pattern?  What area of the lane will maximize my area so I can score?

See, that's a decent question that I can sink my teeth (and brain) into.

Also depends on when you post your question and how quickly it drops off the front page.  I've noticed that there are far fewer of the "regulars" here on the weekends and that the majority of the posters here don't look past the posts on the front page or "most recent posts".

Others bring up a good point - just because other "new" or "novice" bowlers look in on your post and don't answer, don't be discouraged.  I've had to repost the same question from time-to-time to get responses.

RNR, you have to understand that when you ask a question about drilling there are a great many who post who don't know squat about drilling.  Those folks (thankfully) usually don't respond.  Of the few who are drilling guru's several are very intermittent (or virtually absent posters - King of the mill comes to mind).  So if you don't get a response to your drilling question, be patient.  You might even PM someone who does know drilling (JohnP, T-God, KOTM, Constantine for example.  They may not agree exactly, but you'll get good advice).  Also, when you ask for drilling info for a specific ball some of the drilling guru's won't respond since they may not be familiar with the ball.

For example, you probably don't want drilling advice from me - I know just enough to be dangerous.

Pin Nut.. I wasn't asking what ball to get in the first place.. I was asking HOW I should get it DRILLED to better suit my style and for the lanes I'm facing now..
I didn't think it was a stupid question..
to me it was a REAL question...

Like I said.. was out of frustration why I posted what I did.. When you see a person /troll getting more reply to his STUPIDITY.. to me.. THAT STUPID .. when some one is actually trying to get some advice... and I did get some good advice.. THANKS folks

Last thing.. To me this topic is done
Only stupid question I was always told is the one not being asked..

RedNeckRoller -- I've looked for your original question and haven't found it.  If you will either repost it or provide a link to it I will either respond to it or tell you why I didn't in the first place (or both).  --  JohnP
