Moving deeper is not always the solution. You might find head oil, if the has been prepped that way, but the ball needs to make ever longer journeys across the lane and you have to have very good control about the breakpoint. IMHO, this is an option, sure, but only if you have both speed and hand, and potentially a clean mid lane/back end area.
True, you have to play what the lane yields to you - but personally, I find that a straighter line simply has less pitfalls to offer than the deep path - I smell lots of washouts.
