My first reaction to this topic was to answer: Yes. SOme do as some have real cores in them. I have the Clear Wolf from Ebonite. With the actual Wolf weightblock in it, it has a pin position so you can set the weightblock as you like...although being clear you could do that anyway without the pin, lol. I would think the Lane#1 XXXL would as well with the Diamond core it has in it.
Then I read the topic and realized that my initial thoughts may not be correct, lol. But I thought I would add my two cents. I think it depends on the nature of the ball. There are still a few spare balls with real cores in them, I believe, so it may not always be the case as it is with the pancake weight blocks.
