Slide Foot Problem
« on: August 27, 2009, 03:29:55 AM »
After deciding to figure out what my problem is in my approach I have recognized that my slide foot is sliding out to the left.

I wear Dyno Tour Ultras with a Dexter Red leather (#4) slide sole and the adjustable heel with the orange insert.

Our approaches tend to be very slick.

You know what they say....trying to coach and analyze yourself is all but impossible so I need some help here.

Anybody with any possibilities? I am open to ideas. And before you ask, no I do not have the means to get any video put online.

Sounds like a mechanics issue.  Take a camera and get a front and back view and look at it.  It may be something as simple as how your feet are positioned or turned when you start off.  Another thing to look at is ball position to the body.
I forgot.....   Look to see if your foot twist when you slide.  This is a balance timing issue.

Concentrate on keeping the toe of your slide foot aimed directly at your target.  --  JohnP

We had our league meeting last night. As part of the festivities the center owner opens the lanes up for us to bowl...he even laid down fresh oil!!!! And my anchor bowler said the same thing....my feet are fast causing me to be off balance at the line and give the feeling that my foot is sliding out from under me.

Thanks guys.....
