Check your span
« on: November 22, 2011, 12:09:47 AM »
FYI:  If you have doubts about your span, one way to check it is to put your thumb in the ball and comfortably stretch your hand out with the fingers on top of the ball laying across the holes. The first joint of each finger should be about 1/8 inch past the edge of the hole. If the joint does not reach the hole, your span is too long and could cause joint pain. This distance may vary slightly due to the flexibility of your joints.

That is ok if you have flexable fingers that bend and stretch and want a tight or stretched span, but for most people, the first joint should be in the middle of the finger holes.
