Team USA Trials
« on: January 06, 2014, 11:22:38 AM »
Watching the stream on youtube, pretty interesting.  One thing that puzzles me is the amount of people that are there that have no business trying to make the team.  Maybe it's just because some people are ok with spending 1500 bucks to go have "the experience," but myself, no chance I'd go unless I thought I had a shot, which is why I'm sitting here watching.  Much rather spend the money and time on something else more "productive," or something I thought I'd get better value or returns out of.  At least they're out there putting their money up and trying to compete, there's a lot of local heroes that talk big games but won't do something like this, so kudos to the people that are out there . . but for several that I've seen, if they're not out there for the experience, I'm not sure what else it would be for.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Just have everyone submit resumes and no bowling, I mean, whats the point? You could bowl your tail off and still fall victim to the "good ole boys club".

Everyone knows the situation going in.  If you want to be guaranteed a spot on the team finish in the top 3.

I understand what you're saying, however, that doesn't change the politics being played.
