The Neptune is the weakest and longest ball I can think of in the last 3 years or so.
How would the slingshot compare to the Neptune? Would the cover strength of the slingshot be weaker or stronger than the Neptune?

We sold several of the Neptune back when it was current. As I recall it got real easy length, but could be very angular off the spot.
The Slingshot glides through the heads easily, but so far I have yet to see it "jump" late. It just finishes nicely without being too sharp at all.
So both are pretty close until it comes to the last few feet of lane, where the Neptune is probably a bit more angular. Of course bowler style and lane conditions could alter these results somewhat.

I know what you are saying.. I knew the slingshot would be more rolly and smoother compared to the Neptune.. My neptune can be pretty angular with oil up front..
