Smoothest player now or past
« on: June 01, 2005, 03:31:48 AM »
I think David Ozzio is one of the smoothest players ever and the other side of it would probably either Earl Anthony or Parker Bohn 3
But un smoothest would be WRW and Me lol

I'm on board with Ozio, PDW, Aulby, Anthony, and the like, but two guys (one past and one present) that we have omitted so far are legendary Mike Durbin and today's Tony Reyes.

LOL .. and I thought I was the only one to notice.  Ball was definitely a marble in his hands.  Hell, I thought he was the only person to palm a bowling ball.  Definitely smooth for a big guy.  I can definitely relate!

Yeah, I definately agree with Parker. He's been to my center once or twice and he is super smooth. What I really like about him is that he is a really nice guy, jokes around with everybody, doesn't mind taking time to talk to people.

Also, Mike Machuga I believe has some pretty smooth stuff.

Ozio is super smooth even though he says he doesn't bowl as much as he would like.  Dexter keeps him busy.  Still looks just like the tv commercials.

Modern tour: Richard Wolfe
Modern SR. tour: David Ozio
smoothest I have ever seen : Sr. Tour a local guy named Richard Holmes, glides to the line and you don't hear anything but pins falling.

Past props to Dave Davis, Gary Dickenson, Earl Anthony, Steve Cook, Teta Semeis.

I will say David Ozio is the smoothest. Last Saturday they had a Bowling Classic I think it was the Brunswick Open 1993 and David beat Walter Ray 287 to 279 in one of the games. The bowlers were Norman Duke, Doug Kent, Walter Ray Williams and David Ozio. Recorded it and have in a dvd now. It was a strike fest. Especially by David Ozio. First time I have seen him bowled. Nobody known today can come close to him. Not even Earl and I have seen him bowled.

Smooth approach, smooth swing and follow through. Very cool.

Yup another vote for Ozio. If you've never had a chance to witness him throwing a ball...in fact, does anyone have any footage of Ozio? Anyway D.O has my vote.
