Let me start this on the right foot. Thursday night I purchased a new ball, a Storm Eraser Blaze. I used it that night on wood lanes with limited success. The reason why was my accuracy and timing.
Tonight comes and I am a little sceptical, but I purchased the ball for these lanes. They are synthetic and some weeks the oil is light. I start the night on the right foot and shoot a 225 with 1 open in that game. 2nd game I shoot a 244 with 1 open in it. 3rd game comes and I am thinking a little about the 700, but I open the first 2 frames and spare the 3rd. At this point I am thinking I must start striking to get the 700. We'll, I strike out to the 9th. 1st ball in the 10th, I leave the 1-2-8-10. I pick it up and strike out to finish with a 223 for a 692! My highest series ever!
At the end of the 2nd game I had numerous people congratulating me, and at the end of the 3rd, I had about a half dozen people watching other than my opponents. It felt great. I swear I had at least a 4 board margin of error for my strikes, but my timing and accuracy was pretty good. This ball will definitely be pulled out again this thursday to see how well I do there.
