Well today the lanes were getting pretty toasted during league so my bowling instinct told me to keep moving in and chasing the oil line......unfortunately after bowling several tournaments at newer houses, I forgot our ball returns were so obtrusive and caught my foot on it, sending me flying/tripping onto the lane.
Good thing the house was nearly empty at the time so nobody but my sister and uncle saw the incident

It didn't seem to affect my approach in terms of limiting my movement, but I did have to stop bowling shortly thereafter because the pain was starting to set in and I wanted to get home and clean my leg up.

No, I didn't get the strike.....by the time I looked up there was a bucket left up so I assume the ball came in light, even though I never really saw it. As for next time I guess I'll throw an old rubber house ball because thats the only thing I know of that's weaker than plastic

Yeah, my home house seems to have a "fixation" with only oiling the lanes to 20 feet, or not oiling them at all before my league starts. Its a regular occurence.....but I wish it wasn't

It seems to be alright to bowl with which is good because I have some major tournaments coming up the next 2 weeks....if it was on my sliding leg it would be a whole different story......I can visualize the skin tearing if I were to slide and get some knee bend to create leverage....ewwwww!Thanks for your concern everybody, but it looks like it should heal up in time.

i beaned myself in the ankle with a ball last summer. that was some of the most... exquisite... pain i have ever felt.
i was out over 2 weeks for that dumb sh!t.
