Dam, and I've been pouring my extra plug material into mini ice cube trays.

We used the plug cutter to a predetermined depth (based on flushing the plug cutter on a brand new ball) on all sides and resurfaced it. Before doing that it was 16.5 pounds. After it is 15.5 pounds.

Here's the kicker.....before drilling....it had 9oz top weight. I think either the sample cores aren't "really" the cores used in balls or the orientation of our core in the ball was more towards the top, creating a "bit" more top weight.

The ball is completely plug material. No filler, no reactive.

Still working on a name.....most people say it looks like a planet and have been suggesting Uranus be the name, I'm not sold on it yet.

It does have a funky roll on it. Hooks more than I thought it would.

Jon, I've been led to believe that the sample cores aren't full density...  does this ball even have enough dynamic imbalance to flare?

It does flare, in fact I think it had about 4" of flare. I'll check next time I toss it.

Read this article from 900 Global.  Very small shifts in the core lead to noticeable changes in top weight.  You could not even eyeball it close enough to guarantee "decent" specs.

That is quite possibly the coolest thing I've seen this year.  So, uh, what surface adjustments have you made to it?

Check out the throw at 1:40.  As the ball goes down the lane, it appears you can actually see the wobble before it hits the pins!

Pretty neat wobble effect. It looks as the frames per second, and the design and rotation of the ball matched up perfectly for the effect.

There was no effect added to the video. What you see is REAL wobble. The ball has some serious imbalance.

Rolling it real slow for fun this afternoon I was able to get the ball to go from about 3 board on the right side to left of the head-pin within the last 5 feet of the lane. It was crazy to see. I only wish I had my video camera with me.

Don't do that. People will keep asking you if they can see Uranus. Some people might even want to stick their fingers in Uranus.

That is way too cool. Did it end up ruining the Hook Again chamber? I have a chamber that I want to keep usable but I can get a Bully display core as well so I am seriously consider doing this.
