So much for “Going out in style”.

  I turned 58 this August, and thought that I would go ahead and bowl one more season, just taking it easy and having fun. Not getting too serious, or too involved, then maybe just quietly retire from the game.

 So, what have I done?


 1. Bought a brand new, two ball KR roller bag with an extra joey attached.
 2. Picked up a N.I.B. Black Quantum
 3. Bought a new pair of Hammer Force White Carbon shoes in size 10W.
 4. Had my old urethane ball re-gripped for use at spares and on dry track conditions.
 5. Had my Hyroad re-gripped for fit.
 6. Had my Wreck-Em surfaced, cleaned, and new inserts installed.
 7. Just picked up a N.I.B. Radical Intel Pearl.

 So much for me throwing nothing but urethane this season.  :o  ::) 
 Doesn’t sound like I’ll be leaving anytime soon.  ;D
 Man, this stuff is addictive, and I’m thinking I’m too hooked to EVER give it up.  ;)  :)

Hats off to you, I don't think I could do what you are doing and I pride myself on loving the game so much, that I bowl in three leagues per week, plus monthly tournaments as a senior citizen.
The next time I'm down and have any thoughts of retiring from the game, I'm going to remind myself of your devotion and I'm sure it will help keep me going forward.

Agree; I’ve too have struggled and continue to remind myself that I’ll get through the hard times in my life, and the joy that this game has brought me...

Weighing life’s trial’s vs enjoying what you love to do can be a constant mental challenge.
