It's official! New ball takes over as the dumbest ball name of all time!

2011 is a landmark for beating the worst named ball in history which was previously held for years by Lanemasters called "Yeah Baby!"


 


The new title now belongs to AMF with the release of................."OMG!"

A good friend of mine who worked for them as a manager for a couple of years said it meant Another Manager Fired.

At first I didn't care for the name either...
 
But the ball is a Beast... A Smooth rolling but powerful Beast...
 
And since the Beast name has already been used...
 
I can live with the World Beater...

Being a Christian I would never buy a OMG ball that by its very name takes God's name in vain. Most of you may think it petty but that is my belief. Most of us tend to use God's name and Jesus' name too casually and in exclamatory/angry expressions that disrespect them. Shame on us. We need to have higher standards of personal conduct. Likewise I would not buy a ball with any acronym that I would consider profane or in bad taste. A shocking name may seem funny at first but that wears off fast and what will you tell your children and grandchildren (or your Mother) when they ask about it? This probably goes more for nasty t-shirts than bowling balls but you get the idea...... love and peace to all......

Not to sound too much like a smartass, but does it anywhere specifically say what the "G" stands for?  It could just as easily mean "Oh my gosh!" or "Oh my goodness!"

No way that is an awesome name  and the logo is greatness. It kind of reminds me of 1998's Storm El Nino with the same type of humor.

I think the OMG name fits this ball as "Oh My God, this ball hooks & rolls out with the best of them!
