This year I'm bowling 2 leagues in 2 different houses. In house #1 i'm averaging 211 which is a hair low for me on THS. This is historically a very high scoring house. This year the house is playing very wet dry and averages are down 10 or so pins house wide. Also, very few honor scores have been thrown. Usually this is a 300 every night kind of place.

House #2 is usually a little tougher THS. This year they are walled up. I have the second highest average in the league. I'm second to the owner of the house. I have 2 honor scores so far this year here. I am averaging 15 pins higher than my personal best. Is this just a match up issue? I'm up there with the big boys for the first time ever. Have I improved or did they oil the lanes just perfect for me. While scores are up house wide, I'm the only one who has made a quantum leap.

I do throw the ball oddly. I'm a no thumber and I am rolling a Liberator (urethane). Perhaps this just matches up with the pattern?

I'd say that House #2 has just oiled up the lanes to make it a bit easier for everyone, since you say everyone's average is up a bit. But for you the extra oil, has helped you out more than everyone else.

As for the other house if the lanes are very wet-dry, your going to see your average drop a bit cuz its such a different shot obviously lol.

I had a similar situation a few yrs ago, house #1 super wet-dry, No hold at all, and i was averaging 190, it was basically a PBA type pattern. I even went so far as to throw Urethane cuz all of my Reactive stuff was hooking too much.

Second house, was just a typical house shot, with alot of oil from 10-10, and i averaged 210+.
