I have a ball that, when it reaches the backend, dies before it reaches the pocket. In other words, it makes its move to the pocket on an angle. It doesn't arc. Why does the ball die?

also, if you are playing a line around the first arrow, or 5th board, you may not be getting your ball over any oil...try moving inside a little further, maybe around the 10 board(2nd arrow), and see if your ball skids more and then hooks late.  most houses these days leave the first arrow bone dry...the second the ball hits the lane it hooks and rolls.
