You could do the Messenger if you take the OOB 500/2000 and take it to a true 2000 or even 4000 before adding polish to it.  The Turbo and Messenger are both 500/2000 with polish OOB.  Taking the Messenger to a true 2000-4000 before polish will help create some separation between the two balls.

Tried the Purple Hammer.  Just didn't work for me on my house shot.

What if I took the Turbo/R to 2000/4000 then added polish?  Maybe that would work as well as the Messenger.  What do you think?

What I would do; is adjust the cover on the Turbo first to what I mentioned and try it out first.  If it works; then you just saved a chunk of money.  If not; then you will have an idea what the Messenger will be like.  The core numbers on both balls are almost identical.  So the only thing that may differentiate the 2 is the cover.  I believe the Messengers, all things being equal, would be a couple boards weaker because of the differences in the covers.  But that doesnt mean you cant create separation between the 2.  You could take the Messenger, adjust the cover, and put the pin 5.75 - 6 inches from your axis.  That would definitely make it weaker than the Turbo and yet still a little stronger than the Widow Spare.

Thanks so much.  I'm going that route.  Really don't want to buy another ball if I can help it.  Sometimes I feel like I could open a pro-shop with all the balls I have now.

The Twist for most is very tame, but a viable option if you're seeing friction.
