Different surfaces for different conditions?

As above, I would like to know more about different surfaces ideal for different conditions.

This is what I think about this topic.

Polished: Med oil with clean backends
Dull(600 grit): Heavy oil, long patterns
Smooth finished: Med oil with carrydowns
Urethane: Dry lanes

I think this topic can be dependent upon the bowlers average ball speed, rev rate, axis tilt, axis rotation as well as the style of the bowler.

Dry Lanes for me I can use a polished particle pearl drilled for control (my VP2 serves that purpose) or anything down to plastic.

Most medium conditions I prefer smooth surfaces.

Heavy oil I would agree- something dull with a 600 grit finish would do the trick.
