As most of you know, I "usta be good", but with the business to run the last few years, I haven't done any practicing or serious competition, therefore, I've gone downhill fast.

My average has been down 40 pins this year over 5 years ago. It's been really discouraging.

Last night, I realized there still is hope. Although I only shot a 682 (268, 211, 203), it was a CLEAN set. It's been years! It felt soooo good!!!

I've been flirting with few opens, but no strikes to speak of. Last week I shot 549 with 3 opens. Not a lot of strikes in that set. Maybe now I can pull it together and start bowling decently again. Of course, last night might have been the fluke, too. I hope not!!!

ahhhhhhhhh I thought the shirts I ordered had turned out to be the best you have ever done!

Clean sets are great! I love it when that happens because it means the spare shooting is good, which also means everything else is pretty good. NICE WORK!!

Good shooting Mumzie!!  

Sorry couldn't get together for a beer in Portland.  Was too hectic w/the family.  Every day & night was pretty much planned before we even got there.  And not by us....  We did get to Voo Doo Doughnuts & Jakes famous seafood downtown though...

Good bowling Mumzie.Clean sets are hard to do with the way lanes are oiled anymore.If i have only two opens i consider it a good night.

Thanks, gang! Although I had a couple of opens last night, I shot another 682 set. Maybe I'm on the way back...

I am still on a bit of a high from the clean set!

Great bowling!!!

when it rains it pours (both good and bad). Funny how a little confidence can spur you on and how a little doubt can hold you back. Sometimes its all the difference between choosing the right ball and the right time or not which can make the difference between a ho-hum night and a good night. I have been flirting the same issues for years. Then I changed my grip to what I used in the 80''s and suddeny Im on top of the world.

good going !
i stopped bowling in 93' came back 2yrs ago started this year in a mixed summer trio league struggled at first but wound up with a 187 average this fall mens 16 weeks in im 199. what makes tough for me is my mind knows what to do...its getting my body to follow 15 yrs ago it was soo easy to speedup or *get more hand in the ball* lol
