Span question
« on: January 13, 2009, 08:30:04 AM »
A ball that I bought from someone on here has a span of 4 3/4" and 4 13/16", with a slug. Would I be able to get the slug drilled out and put a new slug in if my span is roughly 4 14/16" without having to plug the thumb? Are the spans close enough that putting in a new slug would work?

You should easily be able to add 1/8" to your span by using a 1 3/8" slug.

ya I do it all the time. It is surprising how far off a span can be and still get a bigger slug to end up getting where you normally are.
