If the fingers are cracked, plug it and redrill.

Considering they cost $40 bucks Id replace it before ever plugging it or doing any major work to it.

My pro shop sells new ones very cheap when you buy a HP ball. Like $35 drilled, cheap. Last time I bought a new ball (3 years ago) I got a 916AT and a white dot for $250 out the door.

My point being, if you want a new one just get one.

I also don't use grips or slug in my spare ball. So when they start chipping or get beveled out too much from over-use, I get a new one. $35 extra every 5-ish years? Not bad if you ask me.

If my spare ball was a person, it would have it's driver's license, lol. I still have a plastic wolf from 1996. It is not as clear as it used to be, lol, but it still works fine. And just for when this one does decide to give up the ghost and comes back up the ball return in 2 or more pieces, I have a one NIB I got about 7-8 years ago just waiting in the wings, lol.

I have been using a Lane 1 XXXL the last few years and have one waiting on the shelf, but a teammate got a new spare ball a couple of weeks ago and it got me thinking, hence the thread.

My fingers/thumb shrank so bad my old spare ball was unusable.

I dug up an old Columbia Vector One and threw a nice glaze on it.  Is nice.

Funny to see a ball that was a hook monster in its day not wrinkle now.
