Spare problems
« on: November 17, 2004, 01:51:41 PM »
Right now I am going through my season spurt of having problems with my spares.  I am a lefty, but I am not having trouble with my 7 pin, but I am with my 6 and 10 pins.  Right now to pick up a right side spare, I am lining my self up on about 45 , letting the ball down at 40, sending it to the 5 board, and the ball is still missing to the right side.  I have tried going straight(with plastic and my strike ball), but I am still missing(tried to go after my 10 like I would my 7).  I do put a lot of revs of my first ball, but I am very accurate with my "spare" shot, very straight.  What should I do?  SHould I just go with the flow and try to get over my slump, or should I try fix something that usually is not broke?  Thanx

When you line up how are your shoulders set?  For the corners you should be square with the ball path, not the lane.  Could this be part of the problem?
