Minor shipping rant.

Why is it when people ship balls, and use foam peanuts.  They don't but the ball in a plastic bag!   Gotta love trying to get all the peanuts off of the ball, and eventually yourself!

I understand, John. Been there, HATE them, too. Static electricity makes them almost alive.

Buuutt, just be glad the seller put something in there to cushion the ball on its journey. Some shipping companies, who shall remain nameless, tend to beat the living and dead crap out of bowling ball boxes. If there were nothing in there, the cardboard can do an unexpectedly bad job of scratching up a nice new ball.

It wasn't a nice, new ball. It was a nice, used one.  It was also double boxed and had newspaper in the bottom of the box. I used the "peanuts" as filler to keep the ball from getting damaged because it was all that I had.

It could be worse. I won a ball on e-bay. It was listed as a 15lb ball in good shape. When it got here, it was a 16lb ball with the finger holes cracking, one of them had several around it, in a single box full of those same "peanuts" I used in yours, that's where I got them.

I Didn't have a bag, didn't think about using a bag anyway.  Haven't had a NIB in so long, I actually forgot they come that way.

John, sorry you didn't like the packaging, I'll try to do better in the future. Hope you at least like the ball.

Try getting that ball out of the box at work....where everyone can hear you cursing up a storm as those little buggers fly everywhere!!

I've gotten back into selling a little more and I like to think I overdo it between either a single box with bubble wrap or double box.  And either way gets a ton of tape to make sure the box stays together.
