Last night between our two lanes, two 4 person teams averaged a combined 11.5 splits per game (10, 12 & 13)! They came for the straight ballers, the righty's playing down the second arrow, the righty's playing deep, the lefty and the back-up ball thrower. No one person had more than two per game. The lanes to our left averaged 9 per game for 7 bowlers. To our right, the team played the blind but they had a total of 16 for the night.
It was just crazy! When we got up for the 10th frame / 3rd game, I bowled first rolling a strike. The other team's bowler rolled a 4-10 split. I joked that it was our luck that the bowling gremlins decided to pick on their lane for the final frame. Sure enough, none of us split. All of them had a split on at least one ball. We started the frame -6 and finished with the win.
Ever have one of those nights?

i had a tourney like that a few years back when i was in juniors. it was a jtba tourney and i was around 10th after the first cut (6 games), shot low 2 my first game of the second 6 game set, then went on to have 18 splits over the next 5 games. some pocket splits, some bad shots, i just couldnt do anything right.
