Sport Bowling Question
« on: July 06, 2008, 02:30:13 PM »
If you join a sport league in the summer, is the sport membership good through the next summer, or is it only good through the rest of this summer league? There is some confusion in our league, and we can't seem to find a clear answer on the USBC website.

I believe your membership is good through August 31.

Our Sport league secretary checked into it since we have quite a few first time Sport bowlers.  She was told the following:
- if only the Sport upgrade is bought it expires at the end of the summer (you were already sanctioned for non-sport)
- if you purchase the whole thing, sanction and upgrade in the summer, it is good for this summer, the upcoming fall/winter, and next summer.

TP is correct.  We had that happen to us last year.  Total bullshti.  I had one new guy who bought a full sanction, everyone else bought Sport upgrades to bowl in our PBA league and got shafted on the three-month Sport membership they ended up with.

That's exactly why I bought the full card instead of just upgrading last year.  Everyone else in my PBA Experience league this year has to pay more, but I'm already covered.

This is what I did this summer.  I wasn't given this option last summer or I would have done it then.
