In response to those who think certain ball companies suck.

 Here are a list of bias reasons. Can you find yourself in this list.

1) Bad experience with a certain ball from company A therefore all balls they  
   make must be bad. Nevermind that I haven't learned to put my thumb in the  
   hole when throwing it or that the ball in its box condition didn't match
   up with lane condition. Don't confuse me with the facts.

2) My friends, who works at the lanes told me this company sucks so it must be
   true. You know my pals wouldn't lie to me. (the guy suffers from no thumb
   also, has acne, and drops his worthless opinions as fact.)

3) You are in a area where you have two ball drillers who are affiliated
   with two different companies. Driller A: Always treats his customers with
   respect. Driller B: Personality is kind of gruff. Therefore, Driller A's
   company must be the most innovative equipment ever. Driller B's
   company on the other hand, couldn't possibly know how to make a ball hook
   if their life depended on it.

4) Color schemes the company makes their balls in.

  Now, if you think I being too hard on some of you, I am pointing fingers back at me on reason 4. Color matters to me. I like Storm, Track, and Columbia BECAUSE of color but I do try to match up the ball to the conditions I bowl on. But I am sure AZO, Ebonite and the others make very good equipment. Reason 3 could keep me away from Driller A but not the company itself. Add more reasons if you have any. This is only a start.

I throw Track. Color means nothing to me. My thumb is always in the ball. I never let anyone sway my opinion on a company. And usually when I say I hate any given ball it is more than likely that particular ball did not match up to my syle.

Every company is making good stuff right now. All of the balls made are respectable.

I will go through my list....
I started bowling around the time of the pirhana-pirhana/C. I liked them and stayed with Columbia because of that. Once they started making particle balls, every ball in their line filled a different need or lane condition. Around the release of the Reaction Roll they started having alot of stuff overlap.

From there I tried Storm. One of the best balls I have thrown is the El Nino X it. I stayed with Storm for the most part for awhile. The dull stuff didn't hit great and the polished stuff hit so hard with my ball speed I always left something in the back row.

I decided to give Ebonite a try. This was around the time the Apex Intensity came out. They made and still to make great equipment. The one bad thing about their stuff is that the covers cracked. I had about 7 newer Ebonite balls. 1 didn't crack...make that 2. The V2 solid and the Predator. I got a little angry.

I moved to Track when I saw the Freak for the first time. I didn't see it thrown, but I saw the core. To that point, nothing ever came out with a core even close to it. I have not had a Track ball that I disliked. They innovative, and they have great customer service. I will be staying with Track, unless they "drop the ball" so to speak.
