I have been very lucky since I got to restart bowling.
I've been priveleged in just a short time to bowl with Dave Davis who I believe is the best lefty power stroker ever(or say I enjoy watching him even better than Parker Bohn), bowled on a team with the greatest cranker in the world, Jimmy Keeth.
Bowled with protourist Steve Wilson, bowled with Randy Pederson, next to Jason Couch, Patrick Allen, seen many a great hard thrower with specs in the 19 mph and 450 revs range. But I have never seen anything better than what I got to see today.
Since I've moved I'd noticed A local hot bowling stud I've seen many a time. At times I thought he had the greatest physical game I'd ever seen. About 19 mph at the pin deck with about 450 revs.
Recently I"d seen him seem to have matchup problems. A couple of months ago I went to the monthly tournament I went to today. Bowled next to him and felt that there was just too much of him and too much of the lane going on for him to really score. On the other hand I had such a great line shot and ball matchup I thought I should have beat him by 100. I didn't we probably tied.
Now I come back to the tourney and who is bowling on my alley but this big game superstare. What I got to see was absolutely a clinic of perfect and powerful form with a combination of proper everything, backswing height, smoothness, awesome swings like a stroker rolls like a cranker action. Perfect balance, beautiful level loft control.
As a friend of mine and I say it looks like his hand goes right thru the ball.
For two games I hung around score wise like I could be on the same lanes with him. But all the time he just kept throwing those 19 mph darts right over his mark and flushed the pocket every ball! I think he shot a low seven of 217, 238, 258. And then as he continued two more games of like 258 and 279.(not sure).
All I know is that while I was on the pair with him I saw only flush accurate and powerful and level! I have seen strong 800s but this was more incredible.
I finally did see he shot an 8 somewhere in the 5 games. Every single ball looked like it was dead flush and should have struck.
Not on the tour? Nope and it has something to do with sponsers, a new marriage and the new tour format!
REgards,

PS demoralizing?
NO inspirational! Shows how good a ball can be thrown!
I was convinced that if I practiced more onn the same pair with him some of it would rub off!
