Title: sport shot

could somebody please explain to me what a sport shot is and what the big fuss is all about?  I have never seen one or bowled in a league that had one. thanks

CAN SOME ONE EXPLAIN WTF I HAVE NEVER PLAYED ON A TYPICAL HOUSE SHOT my center oils on a long buff long oil Crown shape... All of you bowlers overinflating your scores on typical house shots... I have played 4 leagues in a row on this condition and I see the scores of 1st division players.... Max avgs are always 215-225 almost no 300's rolled... And this league is bowled by the best players of the state... I wish I could try those fun and easy house shots... And the other centers I have played for fun (Practice with friends) are always dry.. but NOT burned... FRIED... and once on the national bowling center of my state there was oil because there was a national pre-qual and I dunno what was on the boards... my balls flared 6-4 boards and if you opened too much your shot -->GUTTER...

Ahhhh I feel so good after letting all of that out

A crown can be just as high scoring as a wall.  In fact, I prefer a crown to a wall because the blending usually creates less overreaction if I miss right.

You are right, though.  Not all house shots are created equal but 225 is still a pretty good scoring pace.  Since you are relatively inexperienced, you will need to learn to score on all conditions. I find it amusing that someone who has only been bowling for one year (averaging a buck fifty something)is complaining that his crown is a tough condition.

Sport Bowling is ABC/WIBC's attempt to bring integrity back to the sport.  I encourage anyone who believes bowling is something more than a night out with the guys/gals to inquire about a Sport Bowling league in your house.  I am much prouder of my achievements in Sport Bowling than in any honor score I've had on the China.

He he... Well you're right... But I know that a typical house shot makes your ball enter the pocket with some help even if you miss your target to the right because of the friction that is on the outside... I know you're right, but crown with a heavy out of bounds is somehow harder...
