sport shot question
« on: November 21, 2004, 02:21:56 AM »
Our sport shot league changes the pattern every three weeks.  This week we will have a 40' flat pattern.  I have trouble finding a shot I am comfortable  with on this pattern.  Any suggestions?

One word - Urethane!  Using urethane for the sport league I was in saved my butt.

I doubt if there will be a “comfortable” shot for you.  By design, a flat pattern takes away the free hook to the outside and there isn’t any hold in the middle.  If you’re lucky, you may have one board on each side of your target for area.

My strategy on this type pattern is simply try to keep the ball in play, cover the simple spares.
