Sportsmanship PLEASE HELP

i bowled in the heart of america and i was tenth they take eight my best friend number nine said he was not going to come so i went and a could had not showed up yet so they told me im in and i get ready i'm introduced and start practice halfway through through practice the kid shows up and the director says it's up to mke if i want to bowl or give him his spot i gave him his spot did i do the right thing or shopuld i have kept it i want your take on this

I think you did the 'right' thing. As for what would have been more fun, I would say not giving him his spot, but you did, thats what friends are for.

I think if your grammer was as good as your sportsmanship you would be writing bestsellers.

Seems like it would take a good friend to give back something already given, especially with how much the spot must have meant.

Jimmy is right.  "You did the honorable thing and you know it."  That pretty much sums it up.

Are you lookin for someone to say that you should have bowled?  I doubt it's gonna happen, and if it does, they will probably be joking, if they aren't they have issues...

Rye1, I think you pretty much answered your own question. That's the right thing to do obviously. Maybe take a bit more care in how you format your post out and will recieve some more positive responses.

I would only take the spot if I was 100% certain I would perform better, if I was unsure, Id rather not find out.

i asked cause my girlfriends dad and all my friends say i should have bowled my girlfriends works at the bowling ally but i also want to do these tourneys and the same people do them and i didn't want to make them mad and then they gun for me next time

it was my first and i didn't know how to do it he said it was my choice so i gave it to him he finshed third so thats good but he left and didn't even collect his award
