squeezing and lofting
« on: February 27, 2006, 11:53:44 PM »
The past several weeks I have learned
that lofting the ball is helping my game.
This is due to my higher revs than speed.
However I'm squeezing the ball to create loft
rather than relaxing my hand, is this something
I have to live with or am I missing something to
enable loft with a relaxed grip?

Thanks,
Phil

Lofting should not be accomplished by squeezing with the thumb to delay the release.

Lofting should be accomplished using the fingers (keeping the hand under the ball) to lift the ball OUT (no up) onto the lane surface.

Squeezing the ball will reduce the rev rate. The are better ways to reduce rev rate other than squeezing.
