Great balls like the Danger Zone Vintages and Radical Xenos etc. (A million others with over .35 and less than .56 diff) Can make many of your house dreams come true.
These strongish balls with proper flare setups will allow one to play in the oil and have enough recovery to drive with authority!

This is my issue right now on our house shot: there isn't enough oil in the middle! I bowled practice on fresh the other night and it was a nightmare with resin. I could not keep my Rip'd Solid right of the head pin unless I fired it out wide - but that rolled out. I got as far as 4th arrow at the arrows and gave up trying (I rarely ever get that deep). Rip'd Hybrid was a bit better since it goes down longer, but anything left of 9 at the break point was punching the nose or brooklyn. Too much hang outside of 6-7. Also had no luck with the Lochness, Badger, Venom Shock and Shock Pearl. The window was tight and it has been the last couple weeks. Playing too much like a sport shot.
Bottom line, I have plenty of balls that will work on a normal house shot. I have balls that will work on sport shots too. Here's the main problem. Our provincial tournament is being hosted by this same house this year. I'm in with a 214 average. So far, I have yet to put up a 600. This includes the tournament and summer league. I keep trying to go to resin and make it work. Not happening. Shadow Ops has bailed me out from some really bad series, but for some reason I keep going back to resin. Not happening this weekend.
That said, having a benchmark ball with a low flare layout would definitely be useful when urethane gets too over/under. Beyond how our house shot plays right now, I do bowl on sport shots often enough. Bowling a PBA league this summer as well.
