St Louis Get Together
« on: June 11, 2003, 06:05:42 AM »
Nicanor is coming into St Louis labor day weekend along with the San Diego crew.  Right now, that is all the info I have.  Will update and set up some bowling alleys just as soon as their schedule is available.

I EXPECT a great turnout from the BR members in the St Louis area.  Remember, I know who you are

As an added bonus, I may invite Thongprincess out here, see if she will give away autographed thongs.

Pinkisser, mark your calender, no excuses, you have a lot of debts to pay off, especially after trying to sell my screen name.  You should be off probation by then.

SrKegler...will you know what to do at a gathering where you haven't driven 200-300 miles to attend?

Hmm, I might have to see if I can make the trip.  Hopefully I'll get a new job, and the one I'm looking at would definitely pay the bills and I get 3 paid vacations a year.  St. Louis is only about a 6 hour drive for me.

LOL Michelle, St Louis is almost walking distance compared to the other ones.  1200 to Vegas & Billings, 1000 to Florida, 800 to NC, 350 to Chicago, Cincy, Topeka, Nashville.  At least I'm doing my part for the economy, cars last me about 2 years tops.

BTW, stopped by Terre Haute on Friday morning, had to work one day last week (Thurs) sorry to have missed you.

I ought to arrange something here in Topeka also, since it's kinda centrally located.  I know of at least a few people that could make it really easily, Zack and Greg Hoppe being the two that come to mind.  And of course myself, and Kristi Bahr live here (you'd all get to meet and talk to Ron Bahr, btw), and for those of you that are interested, Bob and Rick Benoit both live pretty close as well.  There's also a Buzzsaw rep that lives here, Marshall McLin.  Might even be a good idea to schedule it around the St. Louis get together since the cities are so close.  Would anybody be interested?

Hey yeah, I gotta remember that too.  I have to work at 4 on Saturday and at 11 (a.m.) on Sunday, but I have a couple hours inbetween shifts on Sunday (how dumb is that, 11-2 and then 4-8) so I'll get to see most of it on Saturday and a little bit on Sunday.

Yes please post more details as soon as available oh wise Stone Head Pin Master.
STL is a little closer than world famous Muskogee, OK for me.

Nic and me in the same building ? The lack of revs would be astonishing.

Hey I might even make it out there from Kansas to abuse you guys if I know when and where to go. If I get any vote on a center I know a little place up in North County - 12 lanes that we could take over and have the run of and it's run by friends who are pretty fair bowlers in the area. Olympic Lanes up on New Halls Ferry in Florissant, Mo. The lanes were actually used in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo when bowling was a demonstration sport.

SrKegler,
If you need any help let me know.  There is a traveling team coming from Cal that weekend.  I am setting up some matches for them.

Hey Brian when i am in St. Louis I stay at the courtyard downtown.
It's not bad at all.  Nothing to fear not dangerous at all
Then again I don't think anyone would mess with a big teddy bear such as myself anyway

Sr.Kegler -

I was thinking of heading up to Rick's House (Bill Spigner's, really) Hawthorn Lanes for the ABT Tournament on Labor Day weekend.
$5,000 for first place, what kind of prize money are you all offering ?

Although, I could be persuaded to go since my sister lives not too far from there. (Herrin)

But then again, since Thongprincess is one of my many user names, it is impossible for both of us to be in the same place at the same time.

Keep me posted and I will run it past the warden.

OLI, we're probably talking about the same group of people.  Doubt if there's two groups from Calif coming out the same weekend.

Once I find out their schedule, I'll set up some things on this side of the river that works around their schedule.  I know airport plaza will accomodate us, may be able to get some lanes from FatCats.

Pinkisser:  I had thought about hitting Chicago that weekend but decided I can go up there anytime.  This is probably my only chance to see the guys from San Diego.  Good luck, doubt if the warden will let you go that far anyhow.  Especially since Thongprincess is scheduled to make an appearance.    Good luck either way.
