Once you are with a ball company, also be ready to be a good salesman for the company you represent. I have met Jason Couch on more than one occasion, and he is very very very good at representing the company. Doing this will ensure longevity with a company.
You also have to remember, you have to have a pretty good character to be on a staff, it counts- considering you are going to sell the ball of the month on television or at the pro-am's.
And oh yeah, in most cases... it's not what you know, but who you know.
