Standard Deviation for bowler accuracy?
« on: November 20, 2013, 08:36:38 AM »
Anybody know if there's been any published or shared documentation on an estimated reasonable standard deviation for shot to shot accuracy?  How about a relation of ball surface grit to lane oil removal?  I'd also be curious to know to what degree lane conditions mute ball layout.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

I just like how the guy in the video was sooo pissed he looked like he was going to strangle someone a couple of times.  Atleast he gives a hoot I guess!

All this reminds me of a tour stop several years ago in KC where I saw Michael Haugen Jr tied at 3-3 with a guy in the round of 32.  Game 7 he pulls out his cow Viz a ball and shoots 279 to move on.  These are the guys that have to be up on the cutting edge of stuff to compete, but perhaps know better than anyone when to ditch the technology to get work done.

It all has to do with controlling friction...where and how the bowling ball slows down...
